“A tale as old as time, but a brand new pantomime”

Belladonna, a wicked enchantress begins our tale by telling the audience of her plan to marry Prince Danton. However, the Prince is appalled and tells her that he would rather die. In a rage she turns him into a Beast until he can find someone who will love him for who he is and not how he looks. Flora, the spirit of the rose and our immortal flower fairy keeps an eye on Belle once she decides to take the place of her father, who has been held captive by the beast in his enchanted castle.
Gaston arrives to town and tries to swoon Belle, much to the disgust of her sisters Whitney & Britney. Not even a trip to Marcel & Monique’s beauty salon can help those two out!
Meanwhile, in his castle deep in the forest, the Beast seeks some help from Madame Fifi, the maid – can he soften and change Belle’s mind and convince her to love him?
Will good prevail over evil or will Gaston convince the villagers to attack the castle putting both Belle and her father’s lives at risk before it is too late?

Many new twists are turned along the way, ensuring a side-splitting and action-packed adventure, together with some dramatic and tender moments. This traditional story has been given a pantomime makeover with a cast of colourful characters that will delight young and old alike. With a cast of 34 new and old faces to the Margaret River Theatre Group, this inspirational production, under the direction of Jaime Werren, brings Beauty & the Beast well and truly into the realm of traditional panto, whilst being packed with originality and comedy to die for!
