Twas the Night Before Christmas
Auditions will be held on 22nd August from 10:00am At Harbour Theatre in Mosman Park.
Rehearsals will commence early September and be on Sundays and one week night.
Performances will be between 25th November and 13th December – 10 performances.
This is a fun, family friendly show. It will help if all auditionees can sing a little. This is a play, not a musical but with a Christmas theme there are Christmas songs.
Sir Guy of Gisbourne – is a master swordsman and sardonic wit with a black heart and a pencil moustache. Active role.
Uncle Brierly – is a portly older man
Amos – is a mouse, Sprightly and young – actor will need to be energetic.
Amos of Kansas –is Amos’s identical cousin. Sprightly and young. They are boy mice but could be played by male or female both Amos’s will probably be played by the same actor unless twins audition. Actor will need to be energetic
Emily – young girl – probably looks about 10ish but could be a little older. This is however a large role. Happy to audition up to late teens if looks young.
Calliope– Calliope is an elf who is 518 but looks about 14½ – probably suit late teens to late 20s but happy to audition anyone who thinks they can pull this off. Large role.
Britannia Sneed – homely lady – small role.
Mulch – medieval peasant in training.
Wendell Sneed – Big Bluff, noisy and good natured.
Santa Claus – as usual but needs to be able to rap!
Several of these roles may double up.
Elves – I am also planning to have entertainment in the foyer area before and after the show. This will involve elves wandering around oozing Christmas Spirit – impromptu performances. These roles will only require some rehearsal time closer to the production.
