The Antipodes
By Annie Baker
Directed by Leah Mercer
Written in 2017 by Pulitzer-Prize-winning playwright Annie Baker, The Antipodes is a satirical poke at contemporary storytelling. Set in a writers’ room The Antipodes balances the real with the surreal as it takes a deep dive into the creative process and our desperate need to make sense of it all. Described by The New York Times as “one of the freshest and most talented dramatists” of her generation, Baker’s play searches for Gods and monsters: the mythical, the psychological and the ones we work with.
