This unique play – ‘Potchnagoola’ – will commemorative one of WA’s most distinguished authors, Katharine Susannah Prichard, for the 50th anniversary of her death as part of The Colours of Katharine event. Three showings only.
Matinee Sun 6 October at 3.00 pm;
In order to celebrate this 50th anniversary milestone, Katharine’s memory and her work, the Katharine Susannah Prichard Foundation has commissioned a one-act play about the unlikely but firm friendship between the aging writer and the teenaged musical prodigy, David Helfgott. Written by David’s sister, well-known and awarded playwright Louise Helfgott, the play will be presented at the KSP Writers’ Centre in October 2019 as part of an exciting ‘Colours of Katharine’ community event to honour our Centre’s namesake.
