FRINGE WORLD FESTIVAL 2020
Off the Wall Productions
OUTBACK ANGELS by Yvette Wall
Directed by Scarlett Greenock
Following the death of her mother, 16 year old Instafamous Annabelle is sent from London to a cattle station in outback Western Australia to stay with her late mother’s best friend and family.
This play explores the reality of being a young person today, as well as themes of loss and connection. Annabelle is forced to answer some of life’s toughest questions – how do you survive when the internet dies? And how do you play ‘nanny’ to the younger Pete and Lainey, when it’s the last place on earth you want to be?
This thought provoking piece is comedic and dark. It will make you laugh and question the complexity of human connection, its value and necessity.
