New One-act Play Reading

At Ten the Time will Be

PUBLIC READING OF THREE NEW PLAYS

FREE

At 4.30pm on Sunday 26th May at the Irish Club(close to the corner of Townshend Road and Hay Street, Subiaco)

This will be a rehearsed reading by experienced actors of three new one-act plays from James Forte – prior to their staging later this year. Your chance to see them first.  (And our chance to hear how they sound in front of an audience.)

THE THREE PLAYS ARE:

At Ten the Time will Be” is a farcical comedy about time travel – directed by Chris McRae. It will premiere at Marloo as a part of the Darlington Theatre Players’ one-act season in September.

At the Lighthouse” is a drama set in 1935. A quiet posting of a young schoolteacher to a small country town turns into a struggle to survive. This is a finalist in the South-west Shorts Playwriting Competition and it will have its premiere at the Margaret River Arts Centre in July.

The Thirst” is a horror-thriller about vampires set in academia. What happened to the student when she traveled to the Transylvanian university?

All three plays are suitable for general exhibition. No red fangs will be sunk into elegant white necks. Sorry – you can’t have everything.
