And a number of other smaller roles which will be doubled.
Casting is open to actors of any race, ethnicity or gender identity.
Please note:
1. There are no roles for children in this year’s production, older teens may be considered if they can pass for adults.
2. This production is being performed outdoors and without microphones, so ABILITY TO PROJECT will be a major consideration in casting.
3. These will be group auditions, and auditionees are asked to wear comfortable clothes they can move in, and to prepare a monologue. This monologue can be from any other Shakespeare play, or any other play from a similar period. We do not mind if you haven’t learnt it by heart, but at least be familiar with. We will accept a speech from Shrew if it is already one of your best monologues, but strongly advise against it if you can.
If you wish to be considered for this production but are unable to make the audition date, we may be able to accept a video audition. Please email the director for more details.
To book an audition please email the director at pauljtreasure@gmail.com and please title your email ‘The Taming of the Shrew Audition’.
