AUDITION NOTICE
SATURDAY AUGUST 10th at 12.30PM
“FARNDALE AVENUE HOUSING ESTATE TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD DRAMATIC SOCIETY’S PRODUCTION OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL”
Playing Dates: November 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 December 1, 5, 6, 7
This fun comedy based on the Charles Dickens Christmas story portrayed by the ladies of the Farndale Estate is our final season this year. Auditions will be held at the theatre on Saturday August 10th at 12.30pm.
Characters required:
Mrs Reece: in her 50s, elegant, bossy, enterprising (plays Tiny Tim & various others)
Thelma: in her late 40s, quick tempered, prima donna (plays Ebenezer Scrooge)
Gordon: age immaterial, long suffering stage manager (plays Jacob Marley & others)
Felicity: 20s, nervous, well-meaning but incompetent actress (plays Little Fan & others)
Mercedes: not young, phlegmatic yet dogged (plays Bob Cratchitt & others)
Depending upon the number of auditionees, there are a few little roles that could be played by extra cast, although the nature of the script has all characters depicted by the four ladies in the group. No preparation is necessary for auditioning.
